Guiyang | The Market Supervision Administration of Baiyun District Conducts Training on Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Quality and Safety Risk Management

To enhance the awareness among retail pharmacies and regulatory personnel in our district regarding the laws and regulations governing “two products and one medical device” as well as safe medication practices, the Baiyun District Market Supervision Administration organized a quality and safety risk management training session and a safety production warning meeting for pharmaceutical retailers and market supervision enforcement officers within its jurisdiction on the afternoon of June 28. Eight pharmaceutical and medical device regulators and 233 enterprise principals or legal representatives attended the meeting. The meeting reported common issues identified during recent inspections, including failure to obtain prescriptions for prescription drugs, non-compliance with temperature and humidity requirements in refrigerated areas, and open-shelf sales of prescription drugs. The meeting emphasized that enterprises must conduct thorough training to address these issues at their source, thereby providing better pharmaceutical services to the public and ensuring the safe use of medications by residents. Experts were invited to provide training for both enterprises and regulators on the key risks, risk consequences, and preventive measures associated with pharmacy sales. Through clear and accessible explanations of regulations such as the "Administrative Measures for the Supervision and Management of Online Drug Sales" and the "Administrative Measures for the Supervision and Management of Online Medical Device Sales," along with references to typical illegal cases, the training helped strengthen operators’ respect for and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. At the meeting, Ran Xiaoguang, a member of the Party Committee of the Baiyun District Market Supervision Administration and Deputy Director in charge of pharmaceutical and medical device supervision, put forward two key requirements for enterprises: First, enterprises must strictly comply with the "Regulations on Pharmaceutical Operation."

More than 100 people, including all company employees and their family members, attended the event.
